While Sesame is not listed on the FDA allergen list, if you are allergic to sesame you cannot consume our products. Approximately 90% of food allergy reactions occur to one of the eight common foods in the US, called the “big 8”: Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat, and soy. Our products do not contain any of these ingredients.
Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is a staple of the Mediterranean diet. Our organic tahini is stone ground, which makes it super smooth. We chose tahini as one of our base ingredients due to its nutritional value; it is rich in protein and fiber, and is a good source of copper and selenium, a mineral that decreases inflammation and promotes immune health.
